Most sewing workshops teach you how to use a machine. Lace & Flutter teaches you how to make a garment — a real, wearable, flutter-hem babydoll — in a single 3-hour session, using lace from a working lingerie manufacturing studio.

The babydoll is cut to your own measurements — not a generic size. The lace is chosen by you from Envy Her Singapore's imported archive — not a craft shop swatch. And every stitch is sewn by you, guided by Jeannie, whose background is in professional lingerie manufacturing.

The result is a garment that cannot be bought anywhere, because it was made for your body, from your choice of lace, by your own hands.

Do I need sewing experience? Not necessarily — but some basic machine familiarity helps. We recommend completing The Casual Sewer class first if you have never used a sewing machine. Jeannie assesses readiness at the start of every session and adjusts her support accordingly.

Will the babydoll actually fit me? Yes — it is made to your measurements. Jeannie takes four key measurements at the start of the session and calculates your pattern pieces from those numbers. The flutter-hem silhouette is also designed to be flattering and forgiving across a wide range of body types.

Can I choose any lace? You choose from the Envy Her Singapore manufacturing archive. Jeannie guides your selection to ensure the lace width is sufficient for your measurements and the texture suits the flutter-hem design. If your first choice is not suitable, Jeannie will always find you a beautiful alternative.

What is the minimum age? Lace & Flutter is open to older teens aged 16 and above, and adults of all ages. For participants aged 16–17, parental consent is requested at booking.

Will I actually finish in 3 hours? Yes — Jeannie's commitment is that every participant finishes. The session is structured and timed specifically to achieve a completed babydoll within 3 hours. If anything takes longer than expected, Jeannie adjusts her support to keep everyone on track.

Can I book Lace & Flutter as a hen party or birthday experience? Yes — Lace & Flutter makes an extraordinary hen party or birthday workshop. Contact Jeannie to discuss booking a private group session (4–6 participants). Group pricing is available.

What do I leave with? A completed, wearable flutter-hem babydoll in your chosen lace, made to your measurements. A garment bag to carry it home. A Lace & Flutter keepsake card noting your lace choice by name and the date you made it. And a portfolio photograph of you with your finished garment.
